Your application for participation in the Yeoncheon MK Young Artist
International Piano Competition has been received. Let us know provide you with relevant details.
1. Contest
details
- There will be a total of 3 rounds: video
preliminaries/face-to-face preliminaries, semi-finals, and finals. The results
of the video preliminaries will be notified personally on March 25th.
- The judging panel consists of 7 international pianists, and the video preliminary judging panel consists of members of the DMZ International Piano Association.
If the number of votes is equal, the head judge has the decision. The decision of the judges cannot be challenged or appealed.
- 1st Prize
2,000,000won with an album
recording and world wide release agreement sponsored by classical label
MusiDeco.
It will officially released on world famous music platforms such as
Spotify, Apple Music, and Korean domestic music sites such as Melon Bugs.
Support for
recording and mastering costs to be provided (no album royalties paid). After the competition,
separate recording is to be carried out after discussion(mainly on the concert
performance).
2nd Prize 1,000,000won
3rd Prize 500,000won
- Participants who placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in previous international competitions are exempt from the preliminary round.
- Previous international competition 1st place winner: Plane ticket and accommodation provided -> Applicant must submit supporting documents
2. Accommodation
and meals
- Students who need assistance with accommodations and meals, please contact the competition. (cost, reservation, etc.)
- The competition will cover the accommodation costs of 4th to 5th May for semi-finalists and 5th to 6th May for finalists.
- Practice room provided for participants
- For students who did not pass the semifinals, we provide the opportunity to attend the semifinals and finals and receive lessons from judges at the academy.
For this, accommodation reservations are required, and participants who wish to stay until the finals must apply to the contest by March 30th.
3. Precautions
- Participants must sign up for insurance that covers civil liability, personal injury, and medical expenses.
- For safety reasons, traffic is restricted after 9 p.m. Please resolve any necessary matters within the accommodation if possible or contact the person in charge.
